Avanti Capital is committed to fostering education, career development, and scientific research in the communities we serve. Through initiatives like AppsCo & Peoria Public Schools and Project Springboard, we empower students and entrepreneurs with mentorship, hands-on experience, and funding opportunities. Our support for Brain Circle Italia and The Foundation advances groundbreaking neuroscience and longevity research, ensuring lasting impact in education and innovation.
Our foundation is dedicated to advancing and disseminating knowledge in brain science, geroscience, and longevity research, with a focus on making complex scientific discoveries accessible and meaningful to a broad audience. We believe that thoughtful, clear communication is essential to translating research into real-world understanding and impact. In support of this mission, we sponsor The Viviana Goren Khazzam Communications Fellowship, established in memory of Viviana—an award-winning journalist, cultural and scientific communicator, philanthropist, and extraordinary human being. The fellowship honors our matriarch’s lifelong commitment to curiosity, intellectual rigor, and the belief that science should be shared across disciplines and borders. Through this program, we support graduate students in geroscience who are dedicated to advancing the biology of aging while continuing Viviana’s legacy of communicating science with clarity, humanity, and purpose.
Founded by Viviana Khazzam, Brain Circle Italia is a nonprofit organization dedicated to disseminating groundbreaking research in neuroscience and advancing public understanding of the latest studies on the brain. Through BrainCircle Italia, we sponsor summits featuring some of the world’s most renowned scientists and Nobel Prize winners, highlighting the newest discoveries in longevity. Events like the Milano Longevity Summit and the Lugano Longevity Summit engage global audiences and make the latest complex scientific knowledge accessible to all.
In Peoria, our focus has been on empowering low income public school students with career opportunities through mentorship and a business-integrated curriculum focusing on developing apps for local businesses. Select in class students qualified for after school salaried jobs running the company while promoting, integrating, providing data and creating social media for clients. The program provided work opportunities to over 200 students while advancing collegiate acceptance and creating better job skills for non-college participants. AppsCo won 2 US Congressional App challenge awards, was featured extensively in local media and featured by the Illinois Superintendent as the future of education. AppsCo improved career readiness, soft skills, general business acumen, self efficacy/confidence/public speaking, hope of opportunity and perceived improvement of student performance
